Today, Yukino-chan and Soubi-kun found a package…
Yukino & Soubi: “Mommy, there is a package here.”
Soubi: “Is it for me?”
Love Angel: “No, Soubi, it is for Yukino.”
Yukino: “For me?!? Can I open it?”
Love Angel: “Of course!”
Yukino: “Thank you, Mommy.”
Soubi: “Fast! I want to see it too!”
Yukino: “What’s inside?”
Yukino: “Wow! New clothes!”
Yukino: “Can I put them on?”
Love Angel: “They are yours. Do what you like.”
Yukino: “Thank you.”
Yukino: “It is gorgeous!”
Yukino: “It makes me feel like those pretty girls I see on the Internet.”
Yukino: “It fits me perfectly!”
Yukino: “And look at the details…”
Yukino: “Not there, please. :$”
Yukino: “Thank you so much, Kuraikawai. Your clothes make look so nice!”
Yukino: “Thank you for reading it.”
Yukino: “See you next time. Bai bai!”
P.S.: This photoshoot has been supervised and approved by Soubi-kun, the older brother.
I have been in forums for so many years, but never had a Christmas card exchange organized in any of them. I got to know some people in person, but exchanging card was never on the menu.
This year, I joined the amazing people from the Dollfie Dreams forums and Yukino-chan help me out.
We were both excited with the whole preparation for the cards. It was only a pity that I didn’t have time to make any extras to send along. ごめんなさい。
Yukino-chan is a sweetie and loves to help whenever she can. (^_^*)
The cards were posted today and we hope they will arrive soon and that everyone will like them (including grandma in Brazil). They might be simple, but were prepared with lots of love!
Thanks for reading.
Weekend has arrived and it makes me really glad.
Even though the week has started with me getting sick on Monday, I still managed to keep on with my Picture of the Day Project on Figure.fm. Arigatou minna!
Each week, I am getting more and more visitors and supportive interaction. Knowing what people think about your “work” helps you improve and also gives you the feeling that your efforts are not in vain.
I have been enjoying sharing Yukino’s adventures with everyone. Besides, I have the chance to become better in my picture taking skills. It is a lovely win-win situation! ^_^*
Slowly, I start to understand the mysteries of post processing as well. This allows me to “reinvent” some of the pictures I took of Yukino on her first days at home. I test the settings here and there until I discover the secret of magical photographers (like Haku1923, BlueBlueWave, Hololo, Danny Choo and many others I know).
Today, flan_man and I went to the Buggenhout Forest (Buggenhoutbos). It was great to be outdoors in such a beautiful and peaceful place. Yukino was with us too and she had lots of fun there too. Thanks flan_man for all the help once again!
See you next time.
The past months have been really hectic for me. Last week however, things got ever busier. And to make things worse, I got sick (cold, sore throat, fever, you name it).
Needless to say, when I manage to finally get home, I was worn out. I just sat on the couch like a potato.
So the idea is posting a different picture of Yukino every day for as long as I can make it. 🙂
I am making use of the opportunity to learn some on post processing. I have to say that it is not simple though. Sometimes what I like doesn’t seem to be what others like. That makes me admire even more those who catch the attention of the public with their photography.
Today it was the seventh day of the project and I am glad that I made it so far. Mainly because to wrap-up the week, I finally managed to get a shot of Soubi with Yukino-chan. My first family portrait with my babies.
Thanks for reading. またね！
After taking some pictures of Yukino in the veranda yesterday, we went to a park for her first afternoon outdoor.
The destination was the Citadel Park in Ghent. It was quite calm for a Saturday. The passers-by could slow down the pace to take a better look at Yukino, but no one really got in the way. There was even one lady that complimented her beauty. The proud mom here was in the clouds!
You will notice that I am not really keen with the wig. Her hair was pretty much covering her cute face all the time. Hairstyling has already been added to my “things to improve” list.
As it was first time outside, I made sure she had her teddy rabbit with her all the time. She did not feel alone this way.
The hours passed very fast! It was an afternoon of discoveries and adventures for both model and photographer. I must say that I thought I was going to feel weird by taking pictures of a doll(fie) in public. I never felt this way though. Once I took her out of bag and placed her by the tree for the pose, I did not think about anything else anymore.
I would like to thank flan_man for his patience, support and great ideas. Arigatoo gozaimasu!

It is true that I took some pictures of Yukino on the day of her arrival. However, I don’t count those as a photo shoot. There was no setting, the lights were not good and there were more pictures of the box than of Yukino herself.
So to make it up, she did her official debut for the camera today.
I will probably repeat myself many times, but Yukino-chan is GORGEOUS! Her eyes are so beautiful and she has this sweet look that is simply moe.
For now, there will not be any fancy poses since her stand is still on the way. Even though we kept it simple, model and photographer did their best.
You will see that I have not figured out yet how to get her hair right. It is not only the wig, but it is the styling itself that is not simple. I am so afraid of damaging the curls… >_<*
To help Yukino feel at home, I got her a small teddy to keep her company. The rabbit is so sweet. It is so small that it fits her jacket’s pocket, but it is so cute that I could not resist it.
I hope you liked the pictures and mainly my beloved Yukino! I uploaded more shots on my Flickr. Hints are always welcome.
Until next time! またね！
After waiting for more than 3 weeks for her, today I was finally able to welcome Yukino-chan home.
It is a pity that after a long day at work, I was way too tired to set up everything to take better pictures of her. However, I couldn’t wait any longer. So please bare with the quality of the shots.
Even the invoice was special. How adorable is that? Thank YOU for making such beautiful daughters for us.
Seeing Yukino on the box left me even more nervous. Now it was a matter of opening the box and getting her ready.
I started with the small packages before getting to the real thing.
Even Soubi was curious about his little sister.
Finally, Yukino was dressed and ready for some souvenir pictures.
I am looking forward the weekend when I will have the chance to make a better photo shoot of her.
Thank you for reading.
